Description
This tulip is named by the famous Austrian composer Johann Strauss and is known for its special shape. During its flowering period this tulip looks like a star with a yellow heart, soft cream-colored petals with pink-red tips. Before the flower opens, it has a pointed shape and yellow petals which fade to cream white and red pink. The solid leaves are dark green with beautiful dark purple stripes. Kaufmanniana tulips bloom in early spring.
