Muscari

Muscari contains 50 species and is native to the Mediterranean, Central and Southern Europe, North Africa and Central Asia. It is now also found in Northern Europe and the United States. The name Muscari comes from the Greek, moschos, musk and refers to the smell. All species bloom in the spring. The flowers are usually bell-shaped in bunches, they eventually grow into some loose-flowered clusters with a length of up to 7 cm. The color varies from light blue /purple to very dark blue / purple. The Muscari looks nice in both the garden and indoors. In winter, they are often offered in a pot. Plant them in the garden as soon as they have finished flowering. You can then enjoy her in the garden in the new year. The bulbs multiply and over time more and more flowers are added to the garden. If you would like to have bees in the garden, Muscari have a great attraction to bees, which in turn are very important for pollination.
