Hyacinth

The Hyacinth is a bulbous plant that comes from the asparagus family. The Hyacinth originates from the area around Turkey and Lebanon. The Hyacinth is available in various colors, from white to blue and from yellow to purple. The Hyacinth consists of a stem with small flowers, up to 50 pieces. The Hyacinth does very well in the garden. In winter, it is also widely used indoors as a pot hyacinth. Sometimes they are already available around Christmas. For this, the bulbs have undergone a pre-treatment of about 15 weeks at a temperature of below 9 degrees. A very nice application is the hyacinth glass. Due to the special shape of this glass, which resembles an hourglass, the bulb rests on the narrowing just above the water with the roots in the water.
